The mission of Gigvvy Science is to encourage Open Science to all research outputs, which includes open access, open data, open reproducible research, open evaluation, open policies, and open science tool. We encourage and highly recommended every author to share their data that support key findings by depositing them in a data repository that is publicly available. This includes the data you provide as part of the research article and/or included in the supplementary information. There are many reasons and benefits to share your data and make it freely available. This not only increases the reliability of your research, but also the visibility of your profile and credibility as a researcher or a scientist. This will help the research you published be replicated, confirmed and credited. We encourage your data to be freely accessible to others and the details are described in a Data Availability Statements during the submission. We recommend authors to deposit the minimum data required to support the findings described in their manuscript in an appropriate repository.

While we encourage authors to make their data publicly available, it is also important that they follow the policies of their institutions and/or funding providers. If the data belongs to an institution, third party or a private sector, the author must secure permission to share the data and provide appropriate attribution. Check the data sharing requirements from your institute and/or funding provider before submitting through the Data Availability statement. Upon submission through Gigvvy Science, you must include the data DOI and URL into the Data Availability Statement. Laboratory websites, notebook or personal data stores such as Google Drive, Dropbox, Evernote and OneDrive acceptable for data sharing. It is encourage authors to cite the deposited dataset using DOI and located URL and describe its accessibility through the Data Availability statement.
