Instruction for Authors

Manuscript materials should be submitted to the journal only in the following manner. Alternatives cannot be routinely accommodated. For each submission, no more than one manuscript or article-text file should be uploaded. It’s optional to upload the supplementary files or not. Via the Journal's online manuscript submission system, upload cover letters, figures, files of the metadata, article text (including title, abstract, main text, appendices, references, tables, and list of figure captions), and supplementary files (optionally).

A metadata should specify authors, title, abstract, indexing, and any other requests. It will be required to entry the flowing information during the submitting process:

1. Authors: Bylines should include all those who have made substantial contributions to the work. Make sure to enter name(s) of author(s) correctly and workable e-mail address(es).
2. Title and abstract: The title and abstract should be the same with submission of Manuscripts.
3. Indexing: Use the keywords of manuscripts to indexing the submission.

Unless otherwise stated, submission of a manuscript will be understood to mean that the paper has been neither copyrighted, classified, published, nor is being considered for publication elsewhere. The information about manuscript and supplementary files will be introduced in the following topics.

Authors of scientific publications in AUSMT are jointly responsible for their content. Credit for the content and responsibility for errors or fraud are borne equally by all authors. The submitting author is responsible for obtaining agreement of all coauthors and any consent required from sponsors before submitting a paper. AUSMT strongly discourage courtesy authorship. It is the obligation of the authors to cite relevant prior work.

Please send us suggestions of possible Reviewers. To help protect Reviewer’s anonymity, we ask for at least four full names, with full information on e-mail addresses and telephone number. The Reviewer selected by the Editor may, of course, not necessarily be from the list.

The Editor strongly prefers to correspond directly with the author, rather than through the reports division or through executives of the author’s laboratory. Manuscripts sent to authors for revision should be returned to the Editor within three weeks. A manuscript returned later than this will generally be regarded as newly submitted and will receive a new receipt date.

How to Prepare Your Manuscript

The Manuscript, including the abstract, references, and captions, should be set up for 21.6 x 28 cm (8-1/2 x 11 in. or A4) pages with ample margins. It should be carefully proofread by the author. The manuscript must be in good scientific American English; this is the author's responsibility. Number all pages in single sequence. Parts of the manuscript should be arranged in the following order: title, abstract, keywords, text and references. Papers should not be lengthened by unnecessary descriptions and repetitions, but neither should authors use a telegraphic style detrimental to the clarity and understanding of the paper.

The following sections give a brief overview of the main elements or structure of an article:

1. Format: The preferred format is Portable Document Format (.pdf) or Word file (.doc or .docx). Once your manuscript has been accepted for publication, please provide us Word file for further editing.
   
   
2. Language: Manuscripts must be in English. Both English and American spellings are acceptable.
   
   
3. Title: Only a concise and informative title should be included.
   
   
4. Abstract: A manuscript must include an abstract containing no more than 200 words. It should indicate the techniques used and summarize the most important results.
   
   
5. Keywords: 3 to 6 keywords should be provided after the abstract.
   
   
6. Footnotes: The use of footnotes is discouraged. Instead, they should be incorporated into the text.
   
   
7. Text: Please use "Calibri" font style for any text, including text in the figueres, tables and equations. The only exception is for Greek alphabets. Use "Symbol" font style instead. Employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses).
   
   
8. Figures: All figures should be cited in the text and numbered consecutively with Arabic numerals. A caption of no more than 15 words should be provided. The preferred formats for figures are PNG and JPEG. The resolution of each figure should be set at 300 dpi. All figures should be placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
   
   
9. Tables: All tables should be cited in the text and numbered consecutively with Arabic numerals. A title of no more than 15 words and a legend explaining any abbreviation used in that table should be provided. All tables should be placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
   
   
10. URL: All URL addresses in the text should be activated and ready to click.
    
    
11. References: The list of references should only include works that are cited in the text and that have been published or accepted for publication. Make sure that the format of the reference list is in accordance with the IEEE styles, referring to http://www.ieee.org/documents/ieeecitationref.pdf. Except for that please provide full name of the journal title and conference name. There is no need to abbreviate. In addition, Authors are requested to add Digital Object Identifier (DOI) for each citation if available.

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
2. Archive your files in PDF or WORD file format for electronic submission.
3. The manuscript was prepared with guidelines found at the author Guidelines page.
4. If you are submitting a paper for those areas under peer reviewed policy, we strongly suggest you recommand us four or more possible reviewers for your paper. Just provid their names, e-mail addresses and telephone number in the "Comments for the Editor" text box (in the end of this submission form)

The International Journal of Automation and Smart Technology (AUSMT) is committed to upholding the ethical standards of scientific publications consistent with the recommendations and guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). All the articles submitted for publication in AUSMT's original article section are peer reviewed for authenticity, ethical issues and usefulness. We are committed to ensuring that advertising, reprint or other commercial revenue has no impact or influence on editorial decisions.
